About the Founder

Keith Johnson
Keith Johnson is a Campus Supervisor and Football/Wrestling Coach for the Dekalb County School District where he has worked for the past 24 years. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Virginia State University. During his long career with the education system, Keith has managed and organized the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Dekalb County Battle of the Borders High School football classic, Georgia versus Florida, which raised over $100,000 in revenues for the athletic department. Mr. Johnson is also the founder and event coordinator for Teachers Night Out, which promotes social unity among metro Atlanta educators. One of Mr. Johnson’s biggest passions has always been working closely with high school youth, particularly those involved in athletics. He has spent over 20 years working tireless to develop partnerships between school systems, businesses, and non-profit organizations to ensure the needs of youth are being met. Mr. Johnson felt compelled that he could make an even larger impact for youth by starting his own charity, and thus We R One Foundation, Inc. came into being. Keith Johnson’s extensive experience with event planning, nonprofits, and working with youth make him the perfect leader to help youth push through all obstacles to achieve their dreams. Won’t you join us in improving the quality of life for at-risk youth in DeKalb County
Our Vision
Our nonprofit is a firm believer in ensuring that all families have the tools they need to ensure their child’s long-term success. All programs offered by We R One Foundation, Inc. are free to participants as we do not want money to be a barrier to achieving self-sufficiency. If you or someone you know with children is struggling with basic critical household needs like food, clothes, school supplies, uniforms, haircuts, fees for extra-curricular youth programs, and medicine please contact us through our online support form request. Our goal is to connect you to the right resources to ensure your basic needs are met and that your child can thrive at both home and school. When children are on a level playing field there is no limit to what they can accomplish. Your contributions are critical for us to have the means to rent a community center where we can offer these programs 365 days a year to at-risk youth in our community that have an interest.

Programs
We R One Foundation, Inc. is an all-purpose community center whose passion is to assist low income families and at-risk youth in achieving their dreams. Our 501c3 pending nonprofit was only recently formed in 2019, yet we have big plans on ways to fill in the gaps for at-risk youth in DeKalb County. Some of our most promising soon to be operating programs include tutoring, youth classes, parental resources, school supply campaign, Thanksgiving dinner campaign, Christmas Gift Campaign, and mentoring. We believe firmly in the moto, “Never give up! You can accomplish your dreams through grit, determination, and perseverance when life’s obstacles seem overwhelming.”

This mantra propelled Abdurrahman “Rock” Ya-Sin from Southwest DeKalb High School football player to NFL Football Cornerback with the Colts. Rock Ya-Sin like many NFL players before him benefitted from one-on-one mentoring through special programs offered by DeKalb County School District from passionate adults that took and active role in his life and achieving his dreams. We R One Foundation, Inc. believes that formal mentorship process between youth and adults can shape their lives in a powerful way that is impossible when youth are forced to fend for themselves. Register today to be part of our elite team of youth mentors to help shape the lives of todays next leaders in the arts, sports, government, and business. No matter your personal expertise there is always a youth that has a similar dream to your life skills, who will benefit immensely from you dedicating an hour a week to help guide them to accomplish their vision.
